Whisk vs Wix and Squarespace
Wix and Squarespace are website builders. You pick a template, drag blocks around in the browser, and they host the site. Whisk runs apps your AI coding assistant writes, and a website is one of them, running next to your team's other tools on your own address.
If all you need is a good-looking site and you'd rather click than describe, a website builder is the simpler choice. If you want the website to be yours, to change it by asking, and to have its forms feed the tools your team works in, Whisk fits better.

Where a website builder is the better choice
- You want to design by eye. Dragging a photo where you want it is quicker than describing where it goes.
- You sell online. Both builders have a shop with payments, stock and shipping already in place. Whisk doesn't have one built in.
- The site is the whole job. If it never needs to talk to anything your team uses, a builder does it well.
- Nobody on the team will use an AI assistant. Whisk sites are changed through one. If that's not going to happen, pick a builder.
Where Whisk fits better
- The site should feed your team's work. A quote request or a trade account application lands in a database, and your staff pick it up on a private page.
- You'd like one bill. On a builder, the website is one subscription and every other tool is another. On Whisk, Starter covers the website and nine of your team's tools.
- You want to own it. The site is ordinary code in your repository. If you leave Whisk, you take it with you.
- Changes should be a sentence. "Add our new branch to the contact page" goes to your assistant, not to a web agency or a page editor.
- Your product range lives in a spreadsheet. The site can read it, so the website stays current without retyping.
Speed
Builder sites carry the builder's own code for every feature it offers, and a phone has to load it. A Whisk site is only the code your assistant wrote. Pages that don't change often are kept ready at Whisk's edge and served straight away, even when the app itself is idle.
Moving across
