Starter apps in TypeScript, Python and Go, with everything already wired up.
Built on PostgreSQL and Inngest
Plans: Every plan, including the free app
What you get
- Starters in TypeScript, Python and Go
- Sign-in, roles and public pages wired up
- A database table with migrations
- A scheduled job, a workflow and an approval step
- A webhook handler that ignores repeats
- Error tracking and structured logs
How it works
whisk init --template ts, py or go writes a complete, working app into the folder. TypeScript uses Hono and Drizzle, Python uses FastAPI, SQLAlchemy and Alembic, and Go uses chi, pgx and goose. Each is under 300 lines and passes whisk doctor with no warnings.
Each template stores data in PostgreSQL and runs its jobs and workflows with the Inngest SDK. The three have the same routes and functions, and Whisk runs them every night as a check on the platform itself.
The templates are open source under the MIT licence, with the CLI and the agent skill. They run on a laptop with local development.
Example
A surveying firm wants a tool for booking out field equipment. The coding agent starts from the Python template, so sign-in, the database and a nightly job are already in place. It adds the booking screens and an overdue reminder.
For your coding agent
whisk init --template py whisk dev --as <email> whisk deploy
The conventions each template follows are in the agent instructions.
